MISSION STATEMENT: "Habitat
for Humanity works in partnership with God and people everywhere,
from all walks of life, to develop communities with people in need
by building and renovating houses so that there are decent houses
in decent communities in which every person can experience God’s
love and live and grow into all that God intended."

for Humanity International web site contains more

- Homes
are built with volunteer labor and as much donated materials
as possible.
- Homeowners are carefully selected and must:
- Have a housing need
- Meet our income guidelines, and be able to pay a 0% mortgage
payment on the cost to build their home.
- Have a plan to complete 400 hours of sweat equity work on
their home and other habitat projects.
- Materials and costs to build a Habitat house average about $55,000.
Including land costs, a typical Habitat homeowner's mortgage is
$90,000 to $95,000.
- No interest is charged on the homeowner's mortgage loan. Terms
are based on what that person can afford to pay. A typical Habitat
mortgage is 25 years.
- On July 8, 2008 we officially broke ground for our 75th home.
