Hello, I bought a reclining couch and reclining love seat off of lejeune yard sales about 3 months ago now. I am only using one, while the other is in the garage. They are in great shape, but need some cleaning. Is there anyway, I could see about them being both picked up? I will be moving at the end of March Lords will, so they can be picked up anytime. I can be reached at 910-320-4110. Thank you for your time!

Ken, I feel for that family, but as you know our organization partners with low income families, and build homes, but it does take about 2 years to go threw our program once they are approved. you can go online and download a homeowner application and have them fill it out and submit it to our office. But in the mean time I suggest that they contact Coastal Community Action at 252-223-1630 and see if they can help them out. If you have any further questions I would be happy to answer them for you. Have a blessed day. Rosanne Admin. Asst. Crystal Coast Habitat for Humanity,. Newport, NC

Hello,

This reply is not for me or my family. My name is Ken Mouton. My wife and I currently live at 111 Fullard Dr in the Chadwick Shores subdivision, Sneads Ferry NC. I was reading your special projects and was wondering how you receive information to help or support families? I know a family who could really use some assistance. The family currently lives in a older small mobile home trailer that is falling apart not far from the Sneads Ferry Community Center. The mobile home is on a lot that was owned by the grand mother who recently passed away from cancer. The grandmother had a mortgage on the property and due to her death; the mortgage is not being paid. The family that is currently living in the mobile home on the lot was informed that due to the death of the grand mother, the bank will take possession of the property and the family will have to move in the next couple weeks.

The family that is living there, is a family of three. The mother is an older lady with a medical condition. The Father currently works for Hardees restaurant at 4 corners intersection and is making very little money. Their son Matt, who we have grown to know due to his disability and his involvement with Special Olympics is about 22 years old. Matt is a very good kid who has had a very tuff child hood. He has a part time job at McDonald and is making very little money to help support his family. The family's only means of transportation was an older car that was having mechanical problems. The family could not repair the vehicle and it was eventually repossessed by the bank. The son Matthew rides his bike to and from his job at McDonalds even when the weather is at it's worst and very often late in the evening.

I understand times are hard right now for everyone especially for the Holidays. My wife and I are really worried about this family and what will happen to them when the bank takes over the property. We are really concerned for them during the Christmas Holiday time and if they can even pay for groceries for a Christmas meal much less to share in the Holiday spirit with gifts for the family. My wife Robin and I are not expecting your agency to help them, but maybe? If not; do you know of an agency that could help or someone we could contact to ask?

Thank you very much for your time!

Sincerely,

Ken Mouton

Good Afternoon Autumn, my suggestion to you is to call the ReStores the one in Jacksonville and Newport, we do carry gas stoves but we do not always have them in stock. so call the stores to see if they have any and they can tell you the price range. Remember we price our items very reasonable and the funds made at the ReStores help us to build homes. thank you any other questions let me know. Rosanne

I was just wondering if you sold gas stoves and if so what the price ranges are. My stove has taken to beeping and I believe the electrical is going bad. If you would please let me know as soon as you can. Thank you.
